The year 2020. The Year Of The Plaque and Tear Gas! l live in the heart of Capital Hill on Pike St. I was lucky, while the whole city was shut down and boarded up, Seattle artists took too the streets that spring and used all of the boarded up store fronts as gigantic canvases creating what I called 'The Mural Festival'. It was a majestic scene with many of Seattle's finest artists painting away—sometimes as many as four or five murals going up at the same time. There is a great book on the phenomenon called Viral Murals. Later that summer came the BLM protests that were centered in my neighborhood. This section also contains paintings from the following summer and fall of 2021.
